Masjid Affairs 1. Family Night community get together will be on Friday May 27. This months theme isRemembering Palestine Al-Nakba (Catastrophe). Guest Speaker is Br. Mustafa Abu Sway,associate professor Philosophy and Islamic Studies (http://wise.fau.edu/~mabusway/). Please note that due to prior commitments of the speaker, the talk will start first at 7 PM and Potluck dinner will be after Maghrib. Please come early to listen to the speech and bring a dish & drink to share. note: Arabic food recipes at the back of the flyer. 2. Insha-Allah, MHIA Islamic Summer camp will commence from July 5th to July 28th (a 4-week period). The Camp will run from Monday thru Thursday from the hours of 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. The fee for the first child will be $100 and $50 for every additional child. Every child must register before they can be admitted to the Camp. Registration form is attached or can be found on the main page of our website www.masjidalnoor.com. We are looking for volunteers. So, if you would like to volunteer, please contact Imam Asil Khan at 845-632-1682. High School students looking to earn community hours are welcome ... a certificate will be provided, if needed by student volunteers 3. Some of the respected community members are starting a project for mosque painting, varnish and changing the carpets. Project will continue before and after Ramadhan. If anyone wants to contribute towards this project then please make your check payable to MHIA and write 'mosque maintenance' in the memo. 4. Jama'at Times at Masjid Al-Noor:

annual ICNA-MAS convention will
be held from May
28 - 30, 2011 (Memorial
day weekend) at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford,
Connecticut. This year's theme is "Quran:

1. There will be recitation of Holy Quran at Masjid-Al-Noor on Sunday 5/22/11 between Asar and Magrib salat for the Esal-e-Sawab of the the departed soul of Br. Riazuddin Saiyed (father of Br. Masjid Affairs
1. 2011 MHIA membership list is attached. All MHIA members who have not paid yet are requested to pay their dues so that masjid operating expenses can be covered. 2. Karate classes are held every Monday-Tuesday in the basement of Masjid-AlNoor. Children 8+ years from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm and adults from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Cost is 50$ per month.
